Sonu Sood’s Groundwork To Join Politics Gives Me Hope

A year or so back, I do not remember exactly, Sonu Sood, along with a few other celebrities (including my once favorite Sunny Leone) made it to the headlines for the wrong reasons.

I think some media people, pretending to be representing some political party, had approached them to endorse the party in exchange of money.

Sonu Sood, I remember, said that he would happily do that. I remember him boasting of the number of followers he has on Twitter and Facebook and how he would be able to influence them.

I was so pissed off with the guy. Not that the lack of conscience among Bollywood stars (and planets, dwarf planets, asteroids) was a new realization for me…

That the same guy is going out of his way to help stranded migrant workers reach home, even if it is just groundwork to ensure his smooth and successful entry into politics, is something that gives me hope…

P.S.: Yes, I am a cynical person. Unapologetically cynical.
