Reclaiming Spaces

So, the other day, I was thinking how the last six years have changed us.

Amidst all these mindless hatred around us, we too have become so irrational.

Who would have thought that the sight of a certain flower would have pissed us off? Or that an object of a certain color would make us feel like smashing it?

I remember how I had compromised with my resolution and attempts at turning into a vegetarian and started eating all sorts of red meat.

I am an atheist but never the militant kind. I respect people’s right to believe in whatever shit they want to as long as they do not impose it on me. And yet the sight of an old man in a saffron clothing evokes in me a mixed feeling of fear and anger.

Entertaining these feelings, I think, means letting them win. So, instead of resorting to stupidity, I am going to focus on reclaiming my lost spaces. And here’s a symbolic attempt at that.

Reclaiming Spaces

On a lighter note, don’t I look like a peace-loving, spiritual person here? Forget the shirt and all if you think it goes against the traditional image of a spiritual person. Just like most of you cannot contemplate a female politician to be hot and stylish. It’s unfortunate. Anyway, just focus on the face and that smile. Full Pritamananda, right?

By the way, do not misunderstand it. Like I said I am an atheist and I hate Godmen and Sadhvis. I just wanted to use the saffron color in my attempt at reclaiming my space. Hence, this.
