Ram Rajya
Today, my cigarettewalah friend across the street told me that the distributor from whom he buys his daily stock had asked for his Aadhar Card today.
I asked him, “Bhai, tu bhi apne customers se Aadhar Card mangega kya? Cigarette bechne se pehle?”
“Haan,” he laughed out loud. “Bizness ki maa-behen kar diya Modi ne. Bekaar mein usko vote diya…”
The volley of curses which started with a passionate MC continued for at least one minute… And I enjoyed it, of course.
Anyway, he concluded his speech saying this:
“Ram Rajya mein itna tax hota tha kya? Agar nahi hota tha, tab bhi Ram Rajya nahi chahiye. Baat baat pe Aadhar Card ki Agni Pariksha…huh… Maine usko vote diya tha thik. Par mera ghar Bangalore ke is Muslim ilaake mein cigarette bechkar chalta hai… Yaha ke log pasand karte hai mujhe… Aur wo udhar Muslim maar raha hai… Aise chalta hai desh?”
