And The Moment Lasted Forever

There she was standing, all dowdy and plain, unlike the others around who were not at all aware of her existence, for they were busy shaking their hips to the rhythm of music and she was scared - I could see that in her eyes along with the inexplicable sparkle - and I could do nothing but stare at her and wanted the gush, the throb of the moment to last forever, I wanted to prison that moment for I knew that it was one of those moments which comes once in a lifetime, like a lighted window at dawn when the sky is filled with heavy clouds or fog… And then she looked at me, and the moment lasted forever…
